“Lakhey” is the most recent release from indie rock band Sundara Karma and is off their debut album “Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospective”. This track is a quirky indie rock song that will go down well with any indie fan and is today’s track of the day.
Wolf Alice were one of my bands to watch when they fast came on the seen last year, and although I wasn’t too keen on their first release of 2017 (“Yuk Foo”), I much prefer their second single “Don’t Delete The Kisses” which is today’s Track of the Day.
Today’s Track of the Day is “Hypocrisy” by Skepta. I’m not a massive grime fanboy, but my blog does come across that way with all the grime promotion I’ve been doing lately. This is Skepta’s most recent release and is well worth a checkout.
The Track of the Day today is “Cave” by Future Islands. Future Islands are another band that I’ve found through listening to Spotify adverts and they sound like a less dance-y Hot Chip. Apparently they were at Glastonbury Festival back in 2015, but I had no idea who they were back then. They’re definitely not for everyone, but could be for you!
New band on the block LANY take today’s Track of the Day spot with their song “Super Far”. This song has a nice chilled out indie-pop feel to it with soft vocals and is off their debut self-titled album LANY. I see this band going far.
“Superfresh” is the latest single by Jamiroquai and is off their recent album Automaton. It is a great upbeat funky disco track which is true to Jamiroquai’s original style, but with a modern flair.
I’ve never been a massive fan of Chase & Status, but I did like their collaboration with Slaves last year. This year they have done something similar, but this time, with Indie rock band Blossoms. “This Moment” is the title of their collaboration and is the Track of the Day.
